The typical way to get between the islands of the USVI and BVI is by ferry. If you are after a ferry timetable that is not shown here, try this page for other timetables.
The ferry ride between St Thomas and Tortola usually takes between 30 and 45 minutes.
In St Thomas you have two choices: Charlotte Amalie or Red Hook. Charlotte Amalie is around ten minutes (and $10 by taxi if you share) from STT airport. Red Hook is opposite Cruz Bay, St John and is around 45 minutes (or more in traffic) from STT airport.
In Tortola you have two choices: Road Town or West End. Road Town is the main town in Tortola. It is mid-way across the island and around 30 minutes drive from the airport (code EIS, “Beef Island Airport”). West End is as its name suggests on the western end of Tortola, closest to St Thomas, and is also called Sopers Hole. It is closest to Cane Garden.
